What is happening physiologically?
6-10 follicles began to develop in Inner Spring, between approximately days 8-12 one becomes the dominant follicle and others are reabsorbed
Eventually ovulation is triggered by a surge of lutenising hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and an ovum is released out of the follicle (ovulation)
The structure left behind becomes the corpus luteum - a temporary endocrine gland
The corpus luteum produces increasing amounts of progesterone (which raises your BBT) and after an initial drop, constant amounts of oestrogen
Your cervix is soft to touch and high
